WELCOME to the CLASS of 2030 and New Students!!

This page will give you some specific information about New Student Orientation and 9th Grade Class Elections, as well information about class events throughout the year.

New Student Orientation:
August 11th, 2026, 2 - 5:30pm on Campus!

*9th Grade Photos will be taken at Orientation: Pre-register for Photos Here

The purpose of New Student Orientation is to both help our incoming 9th Grade class acclimate to their new school culture and have positive effects on change in existing culture relating to stress and academic achievement.  Gunn High School hopes to continue positive growth in their students and help students develop positive images in how they see themselves at Gunn High School.

To meet this mission, New Student Orientation for 2026 will include the following goals:
  • Learning Gunn traditions
  • Becoming Familiar with the campus
  • Getting to know each other and developing a “voice” as a class.
  • Meeting your Titan Ambassadors and SELF Mentor
  • Introduction/Overview of how student activities work (Homecoming, Events, Clubs, etc.)
  • School Culture
Once a 9th Grader/ New Student has attended Orientation, we hope they will continue their growth in being Gunn students who value honesty, integrity, efficacy, have a love of learning, become real thinkers and be ready to make their mark as a 9th Grader or a new student at Gunn!

*Note - Everyone will also get some very cool swag to start out their year, during orientation.  This event is not to be missed!

New Student Orientation is a very important part of every student's transition into the High School environment and we hope every new student will attend!
